What is a pledge manager "survey"?

About 2 weeks after the campaign, I will be sending all backers a link to our pledge manager called a survey, where you can confirm your address, confirm your rewards, and provide payment info for shipping. You MUST respond to the pledge manager after the campaign to receive your rewards, so please make sure to check your emails for updates!

Do I get charged for shipping immediately once I fill out the pledge manager survey?

No, addresses will be locked and shipping will be charged as close as possible to when the games actually ship from overseas. The Kickstarter updates will let you know exactly when that will be so you can expect the charge. This is especially important for US backers, because if the tariff situation changes for the better, I can lower the shipping cost!

Will there be late pledges?

Yes! You will be able to late pledge from a link on the campaign page and receive the game at the same time as the Kickstarter backers. However, the Deluxe Edition and the plushies will not be available for late pledgers! BE WARNED: Late pledges will be open for a short time, ending on July 4th. We want to start production as soon as possible. I wouldn’t count on late pledging if you want to be sure you can get the game!

Can I upgrade my pledge after the campaign?

Yes! If you pledge $1 now and would like to upgrade to receive a reward after the campaign, you can do so through the pledge manager. However, after the pledge manager closes, you will no longer be able to change your pledge level.

Can I get just the plushies as an add-on?

Only if you are a Deluxe Plush backer (which already comes with the plushies), and you are limited to 1 additional set for $30. This can be done in the pledge manager after the campaign, and there will be some additional shipping involved. We want to keep things simple for a smooth fulfillment.

What languages will this game be printed in?

This campaign will only be for English editions of the game.

What is the best player count?

I would say 4 or 6. Simultaneous gameplay means more players don’t add more downtime! 3 and 5 players works great too, but you’ll have more space from other players to build your Frog Stacks in peace. Personally I prefer a crowded Pond. At 2 players there is only a minor rule change to Squanders, and the Pond size is smaller.

Will there be a solo mode?

During this campaign? Most likely not. I’m not very good at designing a solo game experience. If there’s a designer out there that has an idea and wants to make a solo mode work for this game, I’d be open to working with you!

How are you handling the US tariff situation?

The US shipping includes some additional cost for the current 30% tariffs. This is why the Plush Deluxe tier for US backers has a relatively big increase. If the tariffs go back up, then the shipping cost may increase. On the other hand, if these tariffs decrease before games are shipped overseas, the shipping cost will also decrease slightly.

Selling directly to you, the customer, through Kickstarter is the only way we can reasonably manage the tariff costs by charging some additional shipping to US backers, while the rest of the additional cost is absorbed by us.

Unfortunately, these tariffs are going to make it difficult and unlikely for US retailers, especially your FLGS, to sell this game after the campaign.

Retailer Pricing

If you are a verified retail store with a physical location and pledge at the Retailers Only pledge level, you may purchase a minimum of 12 copies of the Standard Edition at 50% off MSRP to sell in your store. We will contact you with more details and you will have to prove your store’s legitimacy.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
